haha the Ducks are a bad team by NHL standards! They're in 12th freaking place!

And PS it's "know your ROLE" not ROW.

Interesting theory from a good friend of mine :

Lets just say, that Brian Burke and his old pal Murray already have a deal in place for the end of the season. Getzlaf coming to Toronto with Grabo, first rounder and another piece going the other way.

Perhaps......perhaps...... Burkie signed Grabo to this deal with Murray's blessings. The ducks are not going to be able to afford Getzlaf, so he is gone.

Perhaps a trade has already been worked out.

The Ducks can absolutely afford Getzlaf. Their internal cap may keep them from bringing in another 4-5 million dollar player, but it won't keep them from maintaining the core. There is going to be tens of millions of dollars in cap space this summer, and a lot of roster spots are going to be filled with cheap young talent on entry level and second contracts over the next couple seasons. No problem keeping the core together for at least the foreseable future.

Plus, Getz's production this season has hurt his contract value if anything. His next deal will give him a significant raise, but unless he can re-establish himself as a point per game or better player, he'll have no claims to making crosby type money.

Also, congrats to Teemu for tying Kurri. My favorite player and a true class act.

What a beauty by Bobby last night. I want to see more breakaways from him. He's not the fastest skater, but he sure does have a powerful stride. Also congrats to Teemu and Perry for reaching some milestones

Getzlaf isn't having his greatest season, but he's worth more to a team than a Kessel. Getzlaf is a game changer and in playoffs he's a BEAST, more of a beast than Kessel or Kopitar for that matter

Definitely more than kopitar. The guy is supposed to be a goal scorer yet has less than 20 for the year. Kind of surprising to see.

I'm kinda surprised too, but I hope he continues struggling to score more goals so the queens wont even have a sniff at the playoffs EUPHORIA!!!

Kopitar is a playmaker, not a goal scorer. Nobody on the Kings have been scoring though, so that's not shocking. He'll hit 20 for the year, but nobody on the Kings will hit 30 barring some sort of scoring miracle. Kopitar does need to shoot more though, he has the talent, and if he starts to shoot more and be more selfish, he could be a 30-40 goal guy somewhat regularly.

This season though, nobody in LA has really been scoring. Since Carter has joined the team has picked it up, but if that is from him, just coincidence, or the team stepping it up for the final push, who knows? If they played like they have the past 5 games (18 goals scored) all season though, they'd be a scary team. The question now is similar to the ducks, is it too little too late?
